| Description | While exploring the Kurill Sector, the Enterprise has encountered a large spaceborne lifeform hosting the survivors of a Vorta exploratory craft that crashed there centuries prior. Having constructed their own civilization and culture within the lifeform, the Vorta refuse all offers to leave, but offer the crew of the Enterprise a brief respite to get to know their people. As the crew explore the life-form they are shocked to learn that the creature itself wants the Vorta to leave, and has asked the Enterprise crew to help. |

Mission Summary
Captain’s Log, Stardate 116514.2. Commodore Wilkan Targaryen recording.
The Enterprise has successfully conducted a rescue operation in the Kurill Sector that has once again placed us at odds with the high-ranking command of Project Longshot. The mission began with a medical crisis involving our Chief Counselor, Lieutenant Amber Laurel, who was suffering from debilitating migraines that were eventually identified as an involuntary telepathic reaction to an external source. Though the initial concern was a potential telepathic intrusion, we discovered that the Counselor—whose heritage is a unique mix of Vulcan and Betazoid—was actually sensing the profound distress of a massive, space-faring biological entity known as Tchema.
Following the telepathic trail, we located Tchema and discovered that it was not merely a creature, but a home to a lost colony of Vorta refugees. These individuals were the descendants of a shipwreck that occurred generations ago, and they had built a primitive, isolated society within the creature, completely forgotten by the Dominion. The rescue operation proved difficult as the Vorta leadership was resistant to leaving their ancestral home, and some of their youth demonstrated dangerous telekinetic abilities in an attempt to drive the away team back. However, as Tchema’s health declined, the necessity of a mass evacuation became clear, and my crew worked tirelessly to transport the entire population to the safety of the Enterprise.
The aftermath of this rescue has led to a sharp confrontation with Rear Admiral Veegg. The Admiral viewed these Vorta as a significant diplomatic liability and a potential threat to the fragile alliance with the Dominion, ordering me to return the entire group, including a young girl currently in our care, to Kurill Prime for processing. I argued that these survivors are a forgotten people with no remaining ties to the modern Dominion and that returning them would be a betrayal of the humanitarian effort we just completed. Despite the Admiral's direct orders and his threats toward my command, I have decided to delay their delivery. We are maintaining a steady course for the Gavara Sector, allowing the refugees a reprieve and ensuring the safety of those who have already suffered the loss of their world.
