| Physical Description | Measurements: 38C 30 41 Hair: Brown Hair with natural Byzantium highlights flowing to upper back Eyes: Green Eyes Fur Coloration: Grey Silver, lighter grey in front torso area and inner thighs, darker grey along back, buttocks, upper arms and outer upper legs. Inside of ears, last finger joints, and tail are hairless and of a flesh pink coloration Other: The Arlekian tails are very prehensile with a great sense of touch along the last 8 inches of the tail. Medical Information Age: Arkelians age slower than Terrans, generally 2 years for one of theirs for growth and maturity. Height: Adults usually reach a height of around 1.80 to 1.95 meters. They stop growing around 65 years. Weight: Their weight is generally around 0.87% of Terrans for same height as their bones are lighter as their bodies are optimized for running fast and jumping high. The bones, while lighter, are latticed and therefor stronger. Typical Maturity age: They are considered fully mature at age 35 and can live upwards to 200 years. Body Structure: The race has the similar humanoid appearance of most races, with the exceptions being an elongated muzzle, large rounded ears as a Muridarattoid race, balancing and gripping tail. Hands: Grasping hands with 4 digits each, fingers are about 8 centimeters long, with claws being another 2 centimeters. The claws usually are blunt and don't flex, but can be sharpened pretty easily with a good nail file. Skin: Similar to Terrans, except having fur follicles. Senses: Eyes: Superior to terrans sight, both in light and darkness, although they need longer to adapt to sudden brightness-changes. Hearing: Slightly better than Terran hearing. Smelling: Similar to Terrans. Sense of touch: Similar to Terrans. Whiskers: The whiskers are used as a sense for if a Arkelian can fit through an opening or not, besides being used for non-verbal communications. The whiskers can sense a change of air current near them but only if no other currents are happening about the head of the Arkelian. Tail: One use for the tail is for used for poise and balance as would be expected in Tailed races. Another use is in communication with others as movements are used to accentuate, diminish during speech, show humor, show emotional state, and other relegated communications during speech. Musculature: Their musculature is comprised of specialty fibers for making it easy for Arkelians to swim, jump and run without getting exhausted too fast, yes slightly lighter than that found in Terrans. They are not as strong as Terrans for strength, but make up for it in cardio and sudden actions that can be continuous, such as jumping. Internal Organs: Standard as for most Humanoid Races. Reproductive Organs: The sexual differences are on par with the majority of Mammalian Humanoid Races, as in two sexes. As a furred species, the fur becomes very silky and short near the genitals/nipples, disappearing altogether next to the reproductive organs. Females have the typical two breast arrangement with associated vaginal/intestinal lower arrangement, with the internals similar to Terran females. Males have similar external reproductive organs as other humanoids. As both sexes have tails, these muscles add to the internal structure for feeling shifting, whether internal for female or external for male, when tail is being shifted. Mind: The Arlekians are a quite intelligent species. They are capable of thinking many steps ahead and usually try to outsmart their opponents. They have a good memory and good cognitive abilities. Psionics: About one in every 1000 manifests psionic abilities. There are tests for when these powers manifest in the Arlekians life. | Personality Overview | ---------------------------------------------------------- General information ----------------------------------------------------------- Emma has a generally reserved personality. Because of how her life started out, and with her maturity rate being half those around her, she tended to 'only fit in' around a year at a time with others. Thus she prefers to not share too much information about herself, as well as keep her thoughts and ideas to herself, holding back on her opinions and emotions, and may only share information when it is meaningful. She isn't really shy, but likes to take her time to think things through before speaking impulsively. She tends to be very self-aware and speak when they feel it matters or contribute something valuable to the conversation. Due to this, she also does not treat others poorly and is more respected of others in their endeavors. She takes time to consider whether her negative thoughts are worthy of being shared or unnecessary at that time. Her Temperament can be considered Calm as well as she seems Solitary. However, she truly does want to fit in and earn friends, it just takes time to know if they are truly friends to be opened up to. In her personality, she has gravitated towards engineering to create and fix devices. You can always trust the devices when well maintenanced and build correctly, unlike knowing if that person will be there for you or turn on you for their own gains. Dislikes: Loud and Brash people, forceful people not taking no for an answer, poor maintenance habits. ----------------------------------------------------------- Hobbies and Interests ----------------------------------------------------------- Hobbies: Tweaking Personal Electronics: She loves to tinker, and thus she stays up on the latest advancements as well as trying to improve anything she has. Rube Goldberg Machine: She loves the steps and improbability of these types of machines and has been known to turn her room into an entire machine just to tuck herself in at night. Synthesizer: With it, she can be a one man band and not bother others in asking if they would like her to join them. However, if approached, she can do many nuances with her Synthesizer. Just don't ask her to sing. Parkour Courses: She loves moving, jumping, flipping, etc through Parkour courses. After all, her race's body is built for such endeavors. Interests: The newest Gadget: She just loves getting ahold of and tweaking technology. History
| Personal History | Birth to Rescue: Mirakylin Arkalia (last name forgotten) was born to outcasts in the underground on the run from Arlekian main Society. The Main Society worship their main leader, the Valoran, as God and anyone who doesn't are abominations who need destroyed. Meanwhile, the underground (outcast formed society) had come across writings about God, the Creator, and thus worship him instead of leader who can make terrible decisions and who dies himself. Her first years of life she can remember was always foraging, learning ancient writings, hiding, and running. At the tender age of 6 (her years, 12 Terran), the Valoran warriors found her group when they were foraging for vehicle repair supplies at an outpost spaceport. Her father tried leading them away as her mother and siblings tried to find a path away from the starport, when more warriors showed up. Her family watched as her father's head was separated from his body by the blade of an elite. Her mother urged the children on faster. However, as her family got near a transport, her mother suddenly picked her up and threw her with a satchel of supplies through the air and into a chamber with a closing door. Last sight she saw was her mother and siblings being riddled with bullets as the door closed. She it, hard into equipment and felt pains from her left arm, ribs, and right leg, but she kept quiet, who knew if the warriors were looking for her. Fortunately, the cargo pods were loaded onto a ship with an internal cargo bay and not external. Still, it was a month of darkness, strange noises, and gear shifting inside her cargo pod. Her satchel had three days of food for her family, along with some meager medical supplies. Well, she was the youngest, thus smallest, and so made it last as long as possible. Water was hard to come by as the condenser would get it from the air, and there was not much it seemed inside the pod. Then, one day, after everything had settled around her and the pod quit moving, there as an opening of the door as bright light exploded all around her. All she could do was hide and cower, not knowing if friend for foe. She heard voices, one directing, others doing what was said, and finally that voice ended up near her. In a Bulgarian accent, a male said, "Well, I'll be. An Arlekian." Yelled out away from her, "Get the Doc." Low voice to her, "Here there, little one, I won't harm you. My family on other planets has found others like you, escaping the regime. But... where are your..." She broke down crying as he finished with, "Ahh, got it." Nikolay Yumerieva found that young girl Arlekian in a Frieghter shipment for his Ranch that came from a far outland colony. She was malnourished with bruises and a couple of fractured bones. In getting her care, the doctors determined her maturity age was around 6, which meant she was 12 years old from birth. His wife and he decided to adopt and raise her if the authorities allowed it. Everything went through without any fuss. Thus, Nikolay added another girl to his household consisting of his wife Valentina and his daughter, then 8, Rayna. Primary Education Days: Mirakylin Arkalia Yumerieva was reserved, but did follow her new adopted father and mother's instructions. She remembered her first and middle name as her mom always called her by them, but she did not remember her last name, which was fine. Her new family had a last name and that was hers now. Because it was known about her different rate of maturity, her parents kept her in a 'work at your own pace' curriculum, which suited her just fine. Of course, it was disheartening to always have other kids catch you, then leave you as you just developed at a slower pace. Fortunately, her sister understood and helped out. In junior high, she met her first Vulpinian, Nozomi Takahashi, and the two became fast friends. Of course, when Nozomi changed to her other two forms, Emma loved it as it made Nozomi unique, just like she was. High School Days: --------------------------------- High school was just as before with the other grades, students maturing right through her place in school. At least the teachers, professors, and counselors understood, and as well her sister and best friend, even though graduated, would come visit on the playground and come get her after school. When she finally graduated with a class, she was sooo happy. The next new year, her family threw her a coming of age party. She had turned 35, which was full maturity for an Arlekian. She was ecstatic. It as at this time that Nozomi's father let her know he would be sponsoring her for going to Starfleet Academy. Her happiness could not get any bigger. She gladly launched herself into studies for the Academy and waiting to hear that she was accepted. In the studies she found that her aptitude for devices could be used especially in becoming an Engineer. Thus, she focused on that aspect of the studies. After her studies, and the spring after she became 36, or 18 Terran, she received word she was in and transport was coming for her. Glorious day. |

| Service Record | Starfleet Academy 2435 - 2438 ---------------------------------------- Emma loved the newness and the class structure of the academy. She immediately began going through the Engineering coursework, greatly enjoying going more into the support systems for the Power Plants and Warp Drive, but still maintained focus on those as that was core for engineering watches. She was recommended for a specific cadet cruise, and she readily joined that one. Not for the people, but for the supposed hard core drills and battle damage scenarios that particular Captain was want to do. She did all of the scenarios with full participation, desiring them to learn what worked, what didn't and if she could be of help with her own aptitude for electronics and mechanical. She passed with a recommendation in her academy record for how she did on the cruise. Of course, when the cruise came up again, she tried to apply but was put onto a different ship instead. This captain was more about pushing the ship and crew, of which Emma fully immersed herself again. This was the type of scenarios that she could 'sink her teeth into'. Another recommendation made it into her academy record. She graduated the Academy and looked for what her assignment would be. It was then she discovered, thanks for those recommendations, she was bound for the Enterprise, a large size explorer starship. She was ready. When a ship personnel transport was ready with those outbound for starships, she climbed on board. That ship rendezvoused with the USS Uhura, a Reliant Class, which was bound for the Enterprise. Thus, Emma arrived at the USS Enterprise on March 14, 2329, at 0830 Hours with other arriving personnel. |
