Chase and Stacey had been inseparable since early in their academy days, even before that as children. The bond they now shared was deeper and more committed than either of them had imagined. Supporting each other during exams, study times, intense training had only made what they shared between them stronger. The experiences that Chase and Stacey had had so far in their lives together, coupled with their deep feelings for one another, they knew that they wanted to start a family. That was one thing they had known from the beginning, they wanted children to raise in a loving and happy home. Another commitment they had was to become department heads before they headed out into deep space and uncharted areas of the universe. He is doing much better at becoming impatient with other crew for what he considers substandard work and guiding them as he has been. He isn’t perfect and still is working on that part of his personality. Chase was assigned to the security department, where he would have the opportunity to test his skills as a security officer among other seasoned officers. He would be given the opportunity to push himself to the limit and it showed great promise for promotions as security tended to be busier there than on a ship. Chase’s quick thinking and natural ability to diffuse difficult issues made him someone the base was lucky to have on board. At one point, he showed a part of his personality that needed work. He didn’t agree with orders given and ended up being very blunt with his superior officer, by telling him what he felt and that he was wrong. Chase had to speak with the station counselor and is doing much better but still has that tendency within him. He knows he has to keep it under control, it is his passion to keep the crew safe that causes him to speak bluntly. Stacey was assigned to flight operations on the starbase which would also give her the ability to strengthen and tighten her piloting abilities. She was very happy to be a part of a team with the responsibility of coordinating starship movements as well as the smoothness of vessels coming and going from the starbase. Stacey was considered a valuable asset to the base with her natural talents. Chase and Stacey quickly made friends as the crew welcomed them with open arms. While Stacey embraced the warm welcome it took Chase a little more time to feel comfortable due to his reserved manner which he would say came from his father. Chase found he enjoyed the nights of playing cards with the team, sitting around socially and having a discussion. It wasn’t that he wasn’t friendly, it just took a little bit for him to warm up.
