She strives to bring her crew together in harmony as they face new challenges together. History
| Personal History | Born on the bitterly cold homeworld of Andoria several years junior to elder brother Odan th'Roothi little Zhora battled to survive from the start. The unusual method of Andorian procreation involving it’s four sexes is well documented to have several genetic failures and high child mortality rate resulting in a steady decline in the population. Her arrival was into the world was both premature and swift giving great concern to her married parents and their bonded partners. However, the youngster even from those early days proved not to be easily discounted and survived her turbulent start. Her family have a long deep history serving the in Andorian Imperial Guard, Zhora, though decided to forge her own path and pursue a career in Starfleet. Her sense of adventure and curiosity about the cosmos beyond the icy mountains of home called inspiring her to focus her studies to science. Unfortunately, it was the drive to remain true to their blood roots that lead to the death of Odan, the eldest of the three children after being killed in action with the Andorian Imperial Guard in 2430. The news of his loss caused a sharp downturn in the health of her mother Leni, whom had already suffered from various ailments due to her advance years. This resulted in Zhora taking a leave of absence to both ensure her brother had the correct rites performed and to attend to her mother's health. Once stabilised Zhora resumed her service with a new posting to the USS Fraklin and most surprisingly promotion to Chief Science Officer having been temporarily filling the role upon the Copernicus until her leave of absence. During her posting on the USS Fraklin came the ‘Year of Hell’ in 2435 where the Vaadwaur Supremacy launched devastating attacks upon the Federation and its territories, the Vaadwaur were bolstered by an ancient Preserver relic: the Foundry. The USS Fraklin was drafted into the Task Force that took part in assaulting this powerhouse, they were heavily out gunned and overwhelmed consequently the ship was lost in the battle. Thankfully due to the selfless acts of others Zhora’s escape pod was saved from the clutches of death. Her acts of heroism and quick thinking in those frightening hours did not go unnoticed by her superior officers whom encouraged and stretching her to new direction ultimately propelling her toward Command earning her a converted position as First Officer upon the USS Atlantis. From there she grew in confidence, again exceeding just as before in her youth. Captain Walter continues to enjoy retelling her emotional response to whomever will listen at her being offered the greatest honour beknown: a posting upon the infamous USS Enterprise. |
