Description		Mission 1: Pilot In the history of the Alpha Quadrant, nothing is more frightening than the Dominion. Invaders from another galaxy, they came to impart their own form of order upon the United Federation of Planets and its neighbors. After a long and bloody conflict, an armistice was declared and the Dominion returned home. The Federation built a remote space station within the borders of the Dominion's territory where the Federation and the Dominion could meet and communicate about their future. The Federation has eagerly awaited contact, but no one has seen or heard from the Dominion in over 30 years. Until today. The Forward Observation Zone has received a distress call from deep within Dominion territory and now hundreds of Dominion ships are swarming through the region looking for something or someone. Starfleet Command has decided to send an emissary, a single vessel to serve as an olive branch to ignite further contact between the two governments. But what will they find?

Mission Summary

Captain’s Log, Stardate 116182.4. Commodore Wilkan Targaryen recording.

The maiden voyage of the Enterprise-H has proven to be a trial by fire, far removed from the peaceful mission of exploration we originally envisioned. What began as a departure from the San Francisco Fleet Yards was immediately upended by a "red directive" from Starfleet Command, forcing us to divert to Deep Space 9. There, I was briefed by Commodore Veegg and my wife, Commodore Loatha, on a sudden and massive mobilization of Dominion forces near Deep Space 47.

Upon crossing back into the Gamma Quadrant, we found ourselves in a tense standoff that necessitated a fragile alliance with a Dominion vessel under the command of Vorta Administrator Kuzos. Our joint objective was to investigate the "Progenitor," a massive biological entity of immense power that threatened the stability of the sector. The encounter was harrowing; the creature’s empathic field nearly overwhelmed our Chief Science Officer, Lieutenant Toryn, and several other crew members. However, through our persistence, we were able to successfully rescue Odo, whose return to the Great Link is perhaps the only thing preventing a full-scale collapse of the Dominion's internal hierarchy.

The political fallout of these events has been swift. Following a difficult debriefing, Starfleet has restored me to the rank of Commodore to lead Project Longshot directly from the Enterprise. The cost of this mission, however, is a heavy one. To maintain our presence in this sector and monitor the remaining Progenitor threats, we have been ordered to permanently host a Vorta liaison officer aboard our ship. This decision has already created visible friction among my senior staff, particularly Commander zh'Roothi and Lieutenant Toryn. We are now a ship of two worlds, balanced on the edge of a precarious peace, tasked with watching a frontier that has suddenly become the most dangerous place in the galaxy.
