Captain's Log, Supplemental Entry:

The Enterprise remains in orbit of DS47, but we have an unexpected guest.

"Sensors confirm that the Defiant has beamed teams to the station, Sir," Lieutenant 0110 said from the Operations console. The Bynar Lieutenant scrolled through the various details, "Still no evidence that computer or power systems have been restored on the station, Sir."

Commodore Wilkan Targaryen paced the dais between his Captain's Chair and the forward stations where the Bynar twins were seated. They had been here what felt like an eternity already and they had little in the way of answers. It was unnerving. Only an hour ago he'd been talking with the Station Commander and now the truth was she was dead, killed in that little bit of time. They didn't know who did it, nor did anyone know how they'd done it.

Making matters worse his wife was here. While his wife was an accomplished Starfleet Officer herself, and in charge of the entire Bajoran Sector, that didn't stop him from worrying about her safety. Enterprise was a state-of-the-art Century Class ship, the Defiant was a Valiant Class escort, but DS47 had been a fully armed and operational starbase. Whoever did this could take them out quickly if they wanted to. What was certainly stranger was she hadn't even so much as sent a data pulse to the Enterprise, let alone a hail since they got here.

"Thank you, Lieutenant. Any reports on Lieutenant Barbax?" The Commodore asked as he caught glimpse of the Defiant circling the station.

Lieutenant 0110, who had previously worked with Lieutenant Barbax while he'd briefly been on Enterprise's Engineering team, looked crestfallen. "Reports are he's in surgery now, Sir. Doctor Ilkun is seeing to him."

Enterprise's Chelon Senior Surgeon was good, but he'd still debated bringing Doctor Kholin back. Transporting was iffy with everything going on aboard the station, but they'd at least been able to bring the Denobulan back aboard. Wilkan crossed his arms as he walked, "Any additional details from the away team?"

"Not yet, Sir," 0110 continued as the locations of the away team were displayed on the viewscreen's HUD.

Turning toward the Tactical station, "Anybody else out there?"

Ensign Vijraoth sh'Kovrirr looked up from his panel. The Andorian's icy blue fingers gently moved about the Tactical workstation, bringing up key points of data, "I'm sorry, Commodore, but sensors still haven't been able to detect any other vessels aside from us and the Defiant."

"Not exactly sure that's a bad thing, Ensign," Targaryen chuckled.

"With as often as you've asked about other ships in the area, Sir, I thought you'd have wanted us to detect someone by now," the Andorian offered as his excuse.

Glancing at the Defiant, "That's the absolute last thing I want at this point, Ensign."

"I'm sorry, Sir," the Ensign apologized.

"Your apology isn't needed, Ensign, just your attention to those sensors," Wilkan snapped back.

Vijraoth didn't engage further, "Yes Sir."

Lieutenant Jardok, who was filling in for Counselor Laurell, looked at the Commodore with a raised eyebrow. The Vulcan Counselor was about to add a comment when the Commodore interrupted.

"I'm the one who should be sorry, Ensign, this mission has me a little on edge."

"Understood, Sir," the Ensign replied.

Targaryen smirked before returning his full focus on the viewscreen, just in time to watch lights across the station start to flicker back on as the fusion reactors were brought online again. It was a welcome sight to be sure, but it made Wilkan wonder even more about what was going on aboard the station. "Any response to our hails?"

It was 0110 again, "Not yet, Sir."

"Now that power's back online I want to get this ship docked so we can deploy more personnel," Enterprise's Commanding Officer ordered.

"No go, Commodore," Lieutenant 1001 answered from the Helm. "Sensors are showing that the station's Docking Pylons and Landing Pads are still sealed. Until they have the Main Computer back online, I don't think we'll be docking any time soon."

Targaryen sighed, "Maintain standard orbit for now."

The Bynar Helmsman didn't say anything, only nodded.

"Commodore, we're being hailed," 0110 interrupted.

Excited, Wilkan turned toward the viewscreen, "From the away team?"

"No," the Bynar Operations Manager answered, "from Defiant."

"Took her long enough," the Enterprise's Commander mumbled under his breath.

0110 cocked his head, puzzled, "Sir?"

"Nothing, Lieutenant, I'll take it here," Wilkan said as he crossed his arms.

A second later the holographic form of Commodore Loatha Targaryen appeared next to Wilkan on the Enterprise's Bridge. Dressed in the colorful Starfleet Service Uniform instead of the Working Uniform that Wilkan ordered used on the Enterprise, the crimson red uniform helped to emphasize Loatha's radiant, youthful appearance that was only enhanced by her natural look, with subtle smokey eyes being the only visible makeup that she wore. She had a natural, glowing look with her face framed by her long dark brown hair. Wilkan preferred her hair like this, much better than the pixie cut she once wore.

Loatha stood with her hands behind her back, "Sorry it took so long to call, Enterprise, what's your status?"

Wilkan tried to hide his annoyance with the question, and how annoyed he'd been that it took so long for the Defiant to call since she arrived. Instead of engaging, he answered, "We've deployed away teams to assist DS47. So far we've not found any survivors and power has only just now been restored."

"We're aware of that part. My Chief Engineer just notified me that the power systems were brought back online. They're on their way to Ops to assist the team there," Loatha reported. "Any news on who did this?"

"None yet. I was speaking with Commander Shibren when contact was abruptly lost over an hour ago. My Astrometrics Officer was scanning the area and thought she'd detected a ship, but we have very little data available. Enterprise has this, Commodore, I think that you should withdraw back to the Alpha Quadrant until we know more," Wilkan tried not to make it sound like an order.

Defiant's Commander shook her head, "Defiant's more than capable of handling herself. Besides, you do realize I could tell you the same thing?"

"Regulation 191, Article 14 would beg to differ, Commodore. When a combat situation involves more than one ship where both Captains are of equal rank, command falls to the vessel with tactical superiority. Enterprise is the more robust vessel from a tactical perspective, which gives us the superior position and command of this situation until Rear Admiral Veegg arrives." He was surprised she didn't try to interrupt.

But she wasn't having it, "You think your exploratory craft is more capable than a dedicated tactical vessel? Did you forget in the Dominion War that escort ships commanded Galaxies in battle?"

"Ben Sisko was a special case," Wilkan countered, "and Admiral Ross was on a Galaxy Class ship for the Battle of Cardassia."

"Semantics. We both know in a fight Defiant's going to be the one that comes out on top," Loatha asserted.

They were interrupted, "Sirs?"

"Yes?" They asked in unison after turning to look at Lieutenant 0110.

"We're being hailed by DS47, audio only," the Bynar Operations Manager explained.

Questioning, Wilkan asked, "Is it the away team?"

"No, Commodore, it appears to be their distress call. When the station's computers and power were restored, it began broadcasting again," the young Lieutenant explained.

Targaryen nodded, "Let's hear it." It was strange though, he didn't recall a distress call earlier.

"To anyone within the sound of my voice: This is Shibren Ayi of Federation Starbase Deep Space 47. A hostile force has attacked us and overwhelmed our defenses. They're landing troops and are killing anyone that they encounter. We request emergency assistance. Please acknowledge!"

Checking his monitors, "The message repeats, Commodores."

"If only I'd have ordered the Enterprise to Coaxial Speeds we may've been able to help them," Wilkan said, defeatedly.

"And Enterprise would've probably been destroyed too," Loatha replied. Seeing the look on his face, "You know I can read those intense eyes of yours better than you think. What I mean is whoever this is overwhelmed a starbase. Enterprise would've been overwhelmed too. So would Defiant. We need to focus," the hologram stopped talking, freezing in position before flickering and fading.

Commodore Targaryen turned toward the Ops console, "Lieutenant?"

"Our Communications Relay just went down," the Bynar explained typing on his computer panel. "Both internal and external comms are down. Strange, there were no issues before a second ago," the Lieutenant typed on the computer panel. As he entered a series of commands his console began to flicker just like the hologram had. It wasn't alone though. Computer consoles throughout the Bridge began to blink on and off, as did the lights.

Wilkan looked around the failing Bridge, "Report!"

"Our computers are crashing," 0110 explained as Galatea herself vanished.

His brother, 1001, turned from the Helm, "Commodore, our navicomputer is laying in a course for the Idran System. We're on a direct course for their star at Warp 5!"

"Defiant's jumped to warp," Tellarite Science Officer Zomuul jav Ghul reported. "Same course at Warp 5."

Turning toward his center seat, Wilkan Targaryen sat down in his chair and stared at the viewscreen wondering what exactly they'd gotten themselves into this time. "We need to get this ship back under our control and fast! Let's get to work people otherwise we're going to be fried crispy in about an hour!"
