Captain's Log, Supplemental

As the Enterprise has been making final preparations to leave Starbase 419 to begin its five-year mission of exploration in the Gamma Quadrant a small disturbance has broken out aboard this vessel. A stowaway has been detected aboard the ship in the Waste Recycling Section. We have deployed security teams to recover this unidentified intruder, and I am confident in the abilities of my Security Team to apprehend the suspect.

I admit I'm not really sure who would be crazy enough to stowaway on a vessel that's getting ready to complete a five-year mission, let alone one to the Gamma Quadrant. I think that more and more of my crew may not be ok with it either. The thought that we'll be nearly 70 years from home, well by conventional means, is frightening. Knowing that the Dominion is looking over our shoulders isn't much of a comfort either. I trust my crew, I trust their abilities, but how can anyone really be prepared for an assignment like this one?

I guess we'll find out soon enough.
