USS Enterprise - 0715 hours, Urvasi's quarters

Urvasi was reading Supernatural Romance Book with the main characters were a male werewolf and three female vampires. Her face was scrunched a little as she was trying to figure out in her mind how that would work for intimacy as, given the lore in the book, the female vamps shouldn't even be interested in anything libido wise, yet the writer was having them being intimate. The scenes were written nicely and thus her tail was moving gently over Dylan's low back and buttocks without Urvasi realizing she was doing so. She whispered to herself, "If you're going to write them enjoying a menage a trois with one peaking in, at least change the lore to allow it."

"What are you talking about?" Dylan muttered turning his head to see what she was doing.

Urvasi hrmphed out and replied, "This writer has a werewolf guy enjoying a menage a trois with two vampire ladies and one peaking in, yet, according to the lore of this book, the vampire race has no libido, no desires, cannot release fluids, and of course, cannot get pregnant, yet, she is writing them as nymphos." She held the book at arms length as she continued with a louder voice, "That is not even possible! Especially according to the creature write-up the author put at the back of the book." She brought the book back down and sighed, "I am enjoying the writing... as if you haven't noticed... just, please be consistent in the thought up universe facts is all I ask."

Propping his head up Dylan watched her voice her disapproval and tried not to smirk at her passionate response. "I've seen the detail you put into creating scenes on the holo - why don't you write your own fiction? You certainly don't lack creative talent."

Urvasi seemed to freeze in place. She hadn't thought about writing her own books. After all, she was a starfleet Officer, with duties, as well as trying to get into a relationship. She shook herself to free up her body and thoughts. She gave Dylan a kiss on his forehead, then responded, "I had never thought about that. My Holodeck scenarios are fully based upon my home world, yet... I created the personas for the Diner we visited. I.. could create a Fantasy world with rules.. and make sure the characters within followed those rules." She sighed, then looked at Dylan, "I think I could, but what if I bog down the reader with rules that are needed but not be able to follow through with the actual story following a quest desired by the reader. I... have never thought about that before."

"You're over thinking," Dylan assured her. "These rules don't need to be detailed for the reader to follow the story line otherwise you run the risk of creating a manual instead of fiction." He nodded to her book: "You could always start by adapting something instead of writing from scratch to help with creativity."

Urvasi shifted Dylan to more into her side as she rolled to be more facing him. She yiffered gently as she gave his lips a light kiss, then replied, "Yeah.. I hear you. So, write the manual for myself, then write the story within those rules to allow the reader to follow the journey, yet keeping what is happening around the main character within the rules." She glanced back at the now closed book in her left hand, "So I don't frustrate readers like this author is frustrating me." She growled at the book in mock grievance, and then her stomach answered with a light growl of its own. She blushed, then said, "Umm, I think another beast has awakened as well."

"Oh," Dylan pouted and rubbed her growling abdomen. "Sounds like we'd better feed it before things take a turn for the worst. Just as well, I'm hungry too."

She yiffered gently with eyes closed at feeling his hand moving over her stomach. "Hungry as well? Okay, let's get our showers in and head to the officers mess. I can get a snack from you later then." She gave him another quick kiss and then rolled out of bed. She stretched, then reached out to help him out of bed as well. As she did, she said, "Absolutely scrumptious... yes, you."

Accepting her hand Dylan felt a coy smile tug at his lips. He pulled her closer and replied lowly: "You certainly say all the right things...we'll have to pick this up later."

Officer's Mess: 8:45 hours

With a satisfied sigh Dylan dropped the crusts of his toast onto the now emptied plate and sat back in his seat in the mess hall. "Ugh, I'm full," he moaned. "Should have stopped at three slices. Still, will keep me going till late. I hear we've been given an assignment before our allotted free time. Can you share the details?"

Urvasi yiffered at Dylan's antics. She, herself, ate to where she was just relieved of hunger, wanting to be able to sample the food on the planet. Still, she knew from their enjoyment of each other, he would have been very hungry. She yiffered at him and replied, "Yeah, we are to perform a blitz survey of high-volume commercial sectors, regional transit hubs, and historical sites. We shall assemble at 0930 hours at a southern small continent transit hub. That doesn't let us have much time for seeing the sites." Her fur drooped as she continued, "I was really hoping for a couple of days of shore leave with you before this assignment... but.. *low moan* duty has called." She looked up at him, her posture one of resignation, as she finished with, "I hope you can forgive me for not being able to extend our first day here."

Straightening Dylan waved away her apology: "You have nothing to apologise for," he pressed. "That's just how it goes sometimes. We'll make the most of our downtime whenever and wherever that maybe," he shrugged. "Having lived on Starfleet vessels pretty much all my life I've learnt to live in the moment as most well laid out plans tend to all by the wayside."

Urvasi nodded with a sigh. She replied, "Yeah, I can understand that, we Vulienrey like to live life to the fullest as death is all around, but still.. I really had wanted to enjoy some time on planet with you before the assignment." Her usual exotic yiffers and small sounds were not there.

Noting his words hadn't lifted her mood Dylan lent forward, nudging aside the marmalade jar in the process. "Why don't we head down now, just the two of us?" he asked. "Conduct a little recon before meeting with the others?"

Urvasi looked at Dylan even as her wrist computer responded to her telepathic link and showed the time. "The time is now 0853 hours. We are to rendezvous at 0930 hours. So... what can we do..." She thought for a moment, then added, "Well, if we beam down shortly, but make sure our mission duffels are at the transporter along with our duty uniforms... we can poke around for about 20 minutes while making sure to end up at public facilities at the meeting spot, then have the duffels beamed down so we can change and get our equipment ready for the 0930 meetup."

Urvasi stood up and held out a hand to Dylan, yiffered, and said, "Common, I already have replicators by the mission packs creating our uniforms via my linked wrist computer. We can grab them and the duffels on our way to the transporter room." Her demeanor had perked up. Even a planned 20 minutes was better than getting nothing in.

END.
