Josh placed the chicken now cooler but not cold on Amber's plate along with some biscuits before he put any on his own plate. He was still basking from the aftermath of their lovemaking and the joining of their minds. A bond Amber had called it. So far he was having none of the side effects she had mentioned other a slight headache but it was manageable. He smiled t her, "I hope you like the chicken. Sometimes cold fried chicken is just better and I'm hoping that is the case here." he explained as he took a bite of a biscuit.

Amber smiled as she sat down, she too had a mild headache but nothing major enough to spoil her time with Josh. “I have no doubt it’ll be delicious. Besides I’m starving!”

Josh smiled at her, he was so lucky, so fortunate to have Amber in his life, by his side. She was an amazing woman. "Then dig in sweetie, there is plenty. So don't be shy."

Amber didn’t need to be told twice, she was soon tucking into her chicken like she’d never eaten before. “Mmm…delicious!” She paused realising she must be looking like someone who hadn’t eaten in a very long time. “Sorry, I shouldn’t rush like that, it just takes a lot of energy to bond.”

Josh chuckled. "It is okay sweetie. I'm hungrier than usual and now I know why." He replied taking a bite of a chicken leg. "Besides. there is plenty of chicken and biscuits."

“You’re probably picking up on me like I am on you.” Amber smiled. “It won’t be as intense once our bonding settles.”

"Ahhhhh," Josh exclaimed as Amber told him about the bond. "Thanks for the heads up darling. I just think this is so cool, us being bonded, linked. It's new and exciting. At least to me and thank you for wanting us to be bonded. It makes our relationship even more special."

Amber nodded. “That it does, it makes us, for want of a better word, complete.” She smiled warmly before eating more of her chicken.

"Ohhhh, I like that. great word darling." Josh readily agreed. "Complete, whole. united." As he bit into a biscuit. He looked over at Amber. "It makes me feel special. Thank you for that."

“I will always make you feel special, just as you make me feel special.” Amber smiled warmly.

"You are special, You are the most special and important person in my life. I'm overjoyed that we are together and what we have. "You are my treasure." Josh said as his emotions came bubbling forward. he dipped his head and raised it to smile at Amber.

Amber couldn’t help but blush as she smiled the biggest smile yet. “I don’t know what my future truly holds for me Josh, but I do know that I want to spend it with you. Just having you at my side gives me the strength I need to go through whatever has to happen.”

Josh smiled at Amber. he never knew he could love someone as much a she loved her. "Whatever the future holds for both of us, we will be together. I promise you that. We draw and give strength to and from each other." His smile grew. "I love you Amber. Now and until the end of time."

Amber smiled warmly. “I love you too Josh, now and for always.”
