Eladorn's Quarters:
"You know," he said returning back to the table with gathered items. "I'm very relieved you didn't suggest to drop in at my quarters. Being a junior officer I have to share - and believe me it's not pretty."
Urvasi nodded thoughtfully as she said, "Yeah, I remember those times on my previous ship. I was fortunately to have another lady officer. My races customs are to not be undressed in front of males who are not of family or dating."
"Alright," Dylan started to move the plates around the table and removed the lids."As requested here's one chicken and vegetable soup with a roll and knob of butter for you. Kale and spinach pasta for me, also with bread, and for dessert because chocolate is always good for those feeling under the weather. There's chocolate fudge cake for you and some coconut cake for me. Washed down with some alcohol free Springwine."
Urvasi moved her muzzle over the soup and took a good smell while closing her eyes. She exhaled a "Smell's very good, thank you." Now that her body had smelled food, her stomach growled out loud. She yiffered in humor as she stated, "And, that settles it, I am hungry." She reached to grab the bread, but then stopped to look at Dylan. She lightly blushed as she asked, "Umm, do you mind if I remove my robe? I want to prevent my sleeves from getting into the food as well as it is easier to keep a napkin in my lap."
Unscrewing the wine Dylan glanced up then shrugged forcing down a heated thought before it could take control: "Sure, it's your house, your rules, you don't need to ask my permission to be comfortable in your home."
Urvasi stood up and untied the robe. Her blush deepened as she slid it off of her arms and then to drop it, her TK catching it to lay it gently over the back of her chair. The chemise covered what was needed, yet was single straps over the arms, low cut V over the chest, cutaways over the sides, with slits from top of hips down to bottom of hem for laying over the front and back. Her attraction to Dylan was easily evident with the jutting points showing at the front of her chemise. She smiled bashfully as she said in a low voice, "I too find you physically attractive.. I hope you don't mind." In the air a light musky scent with a background similar to allspice could be picked up. She sat down causing a breeze of the scent to waft towards Dylan before it quieted down.
By some near miracle Dylan didn't spill the wine over the table at her remark. The mere thought of Urvasi removing her robe had already sent a jolt of adrenaline through his veins and caused blood to rush around his body. He tried not to squirm acutely aware she could read him like a book.
He quickly set the bottle back down with a thud and attempted to respond finding his voice a little unsteady. "No, it's fine. Honest," he cleared his throat and continued with more confidence. "Though you make me feel overdressed. Do you mind if I take off my tunic?" he asked having arrived still in his uniform.
Urvasi managed to still herself when the bottle hit the table with its loud sound. Her tail behind her stilled as hairs raised upon it. His reaction, it could have been good or bad, then his question assuaged her to thinking 'good' reaction, as well as reminding her she was supposed to be the host. Her eyes widened as she exclaimed, "I'm so sorry, where are my manners? I did not think about that... please, by all means, please, doff said clothing and be comfortable." Her tail began moving in its gentle motions again, however, as it was down and away from her, could not be seen by Dylan.
"Thanks," he replied and unzipped the tunic revealing his sleeveless vest beneath and pale, yet moderately built arms in proportion with his slight frame.
Urvasi returned to her meal. She now took the bread, broke it in half, then put butter on both sides. That done, she began eating her soup. She ate it by taking a spoonful, bringing it up to her nose to perform several very quick sniffs, then move it into her mouth where her expressive lips and her muzzle fully enclosed over the spoon, then pulling the spoon out looking very clean. She would use the bread to sop up some of the broth and eat that piece every so often. Her stomach quit growling as she was finishing the bowl of soup.
Dylan wasn't as ravenous as her and picked at his pasta slowly finding her proximity distracting causing his stomach to feel unsettled.
She reached for the poured Springwine to take a sip, then moved the finished bowl to the side and moved her dessert to be in front of her. She now put her muzzle across the back of her hands to watch Dylan finish his pasta before partaking of her chocolate fudge cake. Her eyes sparkled as she blew a quick breath out her muzzle. Then, she asked, out of the blue, "Is my figure and breast size okay for you?" Even though this wasn't a date, Dylan had expressed interest in dating her, so she was curious. She had several Terran first dates in the past where they expressed desire for larger or smaller, just never a true 'D' size such as hers.
The wine glass in Dylan's hand jerked at her question causing the contents to slosh over into his near empty pasta bowl. Instantly his body reacted anew with fresh thoughts of her in an intimate manner. "Wow," he exhaled. "I thought we were just here to have dinner and conversation." He met her eye feeling both bold and excited. "Do I find you attractive? Well, why don't you tell me?"
Urvasi stilled herself at the reaction Dylan with his wine glass. Her tail stiffened out from behind her as she wondered if even while bodily attraction between male and female would cause positive intimate reactions that he actually disliked her being an alien race that looked like an earth animal. She managed to remain inquisitive and smiling as she listened to his words. She blew out a breath, then replied, "I think we are eating and conversing... and.. okay, I will look."
Urvasi shifted her chair back and bent down to look at Dylan under the table as she could not see through it. Sure enough, his body was positively reacting, but that said nothing about his mind or desires. She moved back up into a sitting position once more and put her muzzle once more onto the back of her hands. She said, "Yes, your body is showing positive reaction... but, that says nothing about the mind or desires of said person. A gentle curve can cause a male reaction, just as a trim body can cause a female reaction, nothing about what they actually think. So, let me ask a different way.. what do you think of me as a Vulienrey female?"
He braced himself as she dived under the table a little unsure what she was about to do. A cheeky smirk tugged at his lips as she returned to the table and continued to probe: "As I've not met another Vuilnerey I cannot compare. I confess I find you alluring and compassionate and would like to get to know you better."
Urvasi's ears, fully upright and forward, now relaxed to be at 45 angle from her muzzle while shifting down a little. Her whiskers shifted from out to light drooping while her tail once more began its gentle sweeping behind her. She blew out a burst of air from her muzzle and replied, "I hear and see your sincerity in that answer, Dylan, thank you." She smiled gently and continued, "I also find you alluring, as well as your quirky sense of humor is a good sign about your personality... I just am not used to such so please forgive some of my reactions." Now she yiffered and added, "Even though I am not sure what I have done to be found compassionate yet, but I sure hope to live up to the expectation. At my end, I find you wanting to learn about me, the person, not just what a Vulienrey is or their worth for a 'friend' or a 'lay', I think the vernacular goes. I find that refreshing." She glanced at her dessert, then back to him, then continued, "After dessert, we can have a 'q and a' session about each other, mm'kay? At least till I get sleepy once my first meal of the day settles."
"That sounds fine to me," Dylan too exhaled heavily with relief. "I think it's safe to say we're going to make some faux pa until we understand one another and our customs a bit more," he smirked before reaching for his own cake slice. "Another reason why I'm glad we're here and not the mess hall."
Urvasi replied, "Yeah, and I don't think others would take kindly to having a lady officer in a chemise in the mess hall as well." She yiffered gently as she put her spoon into the chocolate concoction in front of her. She brought up a large spoon full, looking intently at the layers of cake and ooey goodness. She closed her eyes as she brought it up to her muzzle, taking in a large smell, followed with a murr of delight. With her eyes still closed, she opened her muzzle and stuck out her tongue, which then proceeded to wrap around the spoon and then bring it into her mouth. She pulled the spoon out, totally clean, murring some more. She opened her eyes, took a sip of the springwine to clear her palate, then remarked, "Wow, this is very good, thank you," as she proceeded to gather up another large spoon full.
"You'd certainly turn a few heads if you did," Dylan smirked before observing her enjoy the moist cake relieved that he'd made a good choice. "I'm glad you like it," he nodded. "I didn't know what you might enjoy but figured most people enjoy chocolate when feeling under the weather." He then proceeded to tuck into his own slice: "I, in the meanwhile tend to stay away from chocolate and dairy foods due to my rather ancient lactose intolerance."
Urvasi finished off her second scoop of chocolate fudge cake, then rested her spoon beside the cake and replied, "I am sorry to hear that, Dylan. At least there are lactose free or reduced choices around for you. I will remember this for when we are out on dates, honest." She hesitated, then went ahead and took another scoop of her cake in her spoon. She continued, "As for myself, so far, I do not have any food allergies. Then again, I have not tried too many of the Federation. The Vulienrey diet is a little more root veggie and meat forward than a lot of Fed Fare, and I have mainly stuck to dishes that are similar to my own foods." She lightly shrugged, then once more wrapped her tongue around the spoon before bringing it into her muzzle. She was eating the fudge cake in this manner so as to not take a chance of the fudge and or drizzle to drop onto her fur or chemise and not thinking about any other construed thoughts that could occur.
"Maybe that's something we can explore," Dylan suggested watching her take additional spoonfuls and found himself smirking at her unique technique. "There's thousands of options the replicator can produce along with the dishes the chef can knock up. Humans socialise a lot around food and often share meals with friends and family, is that something the Vulienrey do also?"
Urvasi once more rested her hand with the spoon beside the dessert. She smiled to Dylan and replied, "Our main socialization event is dancing and around dancing. We are very alike in that with L'Tandrey. Next, we tend to socialize more around drinks with or without snacks. Sharing tea or coffee is the way to 'break the ice', as it were, in gaining friends to bestest friends, besides dates. While yes, we do socialize a little around the meal, we tend to socialize before the meal, then focus on eating and finishing our food, then to decide next plans and break off into groups for further activities." She murred gently in thoughts, then continued, "I could show you my carved Tea Set my Uncle made for me on my 12th Birthday after we finish our desserts. It's nothing like the Crystalline Tea Sets every L'Tandrey Male and Audvant training Female has, but, I like it." Urvasi's spoon hand remained in place as she waited for a response from Dylan.
