Mission: Atlantis
Location: Ambassadorial Section, Starfleet One
Timeline: 2429-12-02, 13:35

The Diplomatic capabilities of Starfleet One were unrivaled in all of Starfleet. Having been added during the most recent refit, the exceptional facilities were expanded and enhanced at the direction of President Gruzy based upon the previous orders of President Enaren. Not only did it have an entire replica of Floor 15 of the Palais de la Concorde and a full-sized replica of the Federation Council Chamber, it also featured unparalleled accommodations for any visiting dignitaries.

Starfleet One had over 100 specially designed and outfitted VIP Quarters for visiting dignitaries and over 2,000 cabins designed for the staff of the Ambassadors. 5 fully equipped conference halls capable of each seating over 750 people, 80 briefing rooms for 50 or more people, and space for 500 visiting members of the press. Not only that but it had a dedicated diplomatic transponder and communications system.

Entering the large Conference Room, William smiled, "Ambassadors."

Jonathan turned from the window he was standing at. He was momentarily lost in his own thoughts before replying. "Admiral Teagarden hello. I take it you're here to give us a briefing?" He questioned as the Admiral entered.

"Admiral," Daeren said in reply. "Good to see you again. How is Admiral Lynz?"

"Very well and thank you for asking," he said momentarily thinking of his wife. "She and I met prior to me returning aboard. She was getting ready for the Council session today."

"I am most glad she is well and you were able to spend some time with her." Jonathan spoke. "I owe her a debt, I can never repay."

If only he knew the whole truth he may have felt differently. "I can assure you that you have no debt to her," he answered. "We are at the site of the call and I have dispatched an away team to the source. If you like you have each been given Bridge clearance and can monitor from there."

"Thank you for the bridge access, Admiral," Daeren said. "If we would not be in the way, then I would welcome the chance to be of use. How far outside of Federation space are we?"

"We're in uncharted space, approximately 5 lightyears in give or take," he informed. "We are at alert and are monitoring nearby space for signs of concern. An away team has gone aboard a small, unidentified vessel we've identified as the source of the signal."

Jonathan took the information silently not forming any opinion at this time as there was enough information to form one. So he would wait and collect. "Interesting." He finally muttered. "Just the single ship Admiral? No worlds close by where it may have come from?"

"We are working to try to find where it could have come from," the Admiral explained. "Our away team did find survivors and they are bringing them back aboard the ship for medical treatment. I wanted to keep you all up to date on what we're learning as we learned it."

He turned, "Which is one of the reasons I have brought Commander Rigby with me. I know that you've met her previously, but I have asked her to serve as a Liaison with your delegation while you are aboard the ship."

"Yes, we did meet," Daeren said to Admiral Teagarden. He shot an amused look at Dr. Rigby. "Thank you for agreeing to keep us out of the crew's hair, Commander. I look forward to working with you."

"Yes, thank you, Commander. We will try not to be too much of a problem for you." Jonathan said with a smile.

The Admiral smiled, "I'm certain you will find her a great person to work with, Ambassadors. If you will excuse me I need to return to the Bridge. I'll leave you here in the capable hands of Miss Rigby." The Admiral nodded respectfully to the group as he saw himself out.
