Futility

While on patrol in deep space, the Enterprise detects massive energy discharges that appear to be damaging subspace across a wide area. Tracking the energy to its source, Enterprise encounters two, evenly matched warships that are locked in a deadly battle that threatens to destroy subspace itself. Ignorant of the damage they are causing, the Enterprise must find a way to stop the automated vessels before their war draws the attention of the Dominion.
