Jasmine was happy to see that Patton had moved on, she did notice they sat next to her and Ryan. But she was having lunch with Ryan. "So glad to be back on Starfleet One." She said with a big grin on her face.

“So am I,” Ryan agreed. “Things can get back to normal.” He grinned then. “Well as normal as they will ever be for us.”

"I thought they were going pretty normal for us. Taking it nice and slow, getting to know each other." Jasmine said, hoping that he was okay with their progress up to this point.

“I was referring to the ship normal,” Ryan explained. “You and are doing great, I like how we have begun to know each other.”

"Oh I see, what have you learned about me?" Jasmine said, with a big grin on her face. He was so smooth in the way he talked, and to make it better. He was sincere about it. A rare quality in a man.

“You care deeply,” Ryan said with a smile. “When you make a friend or invest in a relationship it is solid for you.” He smiled at her. “You don’t give up on anything easily.”

"I would hope it would be solid for anyone wanting to get into a relationship. Life is to short to play around, don't you think?" Jasmine asked, wondering maybe she was to serious in life.

“I agree totally,” Ryan nodded. “I am not into games of the heart, I would rather be open and upfront like we are.”

"Good." Jasmine said, as she leaned in for a kiss. Today, she was being a little more aggressive than normal. She knew what that meant, she was starting to fall for him hard.

Ryan kisses her back. He was surprised she was displaying affection in the mess hall. Jasmine has been so adamant about keeping their relationship private for now.

"Sorry. I hope that is okay. Been an interesting couple of days." Jasmine poined out to him. She just realize that she had been kissing him in a public place. She was not very big on PDA.

“It’s fine,” Ryan assured her with a smile. “I think with what we’ve been through we both want to be close to each other.”

"Not really a macho manly answer." Jasmine said, remembering how much John acted like a manly man. Ryan was nothing like him. Which she liked, but she assumed some traits, like that would carry forward.

“I have my moments,” Ryan replied. “Where I can be very manly, this was just one where I felt it was best to let you know.”

"I hope to see more moments like this." Jasmine said, with a big grin on her face. She loved seeing this sensitive side of him.

“There will be more,” Ryan murmured. “And as they happen the closer we will get.” He was so glad he found her, they had like souls.

"I look forward to seeing more, and becoming closer." Jasmine said, as she went on. "You are not like most men, why is that Ryan?" Jasmine asked, wondering if this was the first time she used his actual name.

“I think life makes us who we become,” Ryan replied. “I have learned to appreciate what I have and those who mean something to me.” He was staring into the eyes of someone who was becoming the most important.

"I am curious what in life, made you be this romantic soft spoken charming man?" Jasmine asked, with love filled eyes.

“Because I have learned that life is fleeting,” Ryan explained. “I want you to know how I am feeling and to not hold anything back.”

"Fleeting?" Jasmine asked, not really sure what he meant by that? Was he trying to say, that he put his career a head of everything else? She liked the open honesty, but she wanted to feel just as important to him, as his career.

“What I mean is our jobs are dangerous,” Ryan replied. “We don’t know when our time will be up and I want to be honest, open and express my feelings to you.” He smiled then. “I am not planning on leaving this universe any time soon but I still want you to know how I feel.”

"Which I appreciate, but don't forget to be you. Don't be who you think I want you to be, thats all I am saying." Jasmine pointed out to him. Trying not to sound to preachy.

“I will not do that to you,” Ryan nodded. “What you see and hear is me. I wouldn’t have it any other way.”

"Then show me more of the real Ryan, okay." Jasmine said, as she went on. "I can take it. All I ask, is dont be like that guy." She softly said, nodding to Patton. She made sure Patton and Zoey did not hear her.

Ryan glanced over at the other two and then back to her. “I won’t say things to make you happy, I will just be myself.” He leaned over and kissed her.

Jasmine loved the sudden impulse as she accepted his warm embarrass. After a short exchange between their lips. "I think I would like that. Seeing the real you."

Ryan grinned. “We need to do something together we both like to do. What is something you have wanted to do but never have time for it don’t want to do alone?”

"What do you have in mind?" Jasmine wondered, where he was going with this?

“I didn’t have a specific thing,” Ryan explained. “I just thought it might be nice when we get some leave time to go spend time together doing something fun and at the same time relaxing so we have some alone time.”

"Oh I see." Jasmine said, trying to hide her disappointment. Still a nice gesture, even if there was no follow through with it.

“It depends on where we are during leave,” Ryan said. “I personally would like to find a place for rent, preferably on a beach where we could go swimming and then a town near where we could go to dinner, maybe some dancing or if not that some hiking.”

"I don't have a preference, do you?" Jasmine asked, to her anywhere at any time could be a potential aspect. She was curious to hear, what he had in mind for a shore leave.

“I am for the house on the beach,” Ryan replied. “And then doing what we want to from there.”

"A beach house getaway. That does sound nice." Jasmine said, as she went on. "Tell me more." She said with a warm smile. The scene starts to fade away.
