"Will you stop worrying?" Jasmine called out if she looked over to Ryan. It was slightly adorable but kind of annoying at the same time, why did he have to have that kind of angle too him. Part of her wanted to hug him the other part wanted to smack him. She knew he was worried because of her and wanted to protect her but she didn't need his protection she just needed his love and affection, and she needed to get better about expressing that she needed that affection from him.

“This is a part of me.” Ryan said with a smooth smile. “However I will work harder to not make it so noticeable.”

"No." Jasmine said in a disproving tone. "Don't change yourself to meet my standards." She told him.

“You have a lot on your plate.” Ryan said easily. “I know you can handle what comes your way but a part of being together is my worrying at times.”

"I don't understand what you're trying to say?" Jasmine said thinking that it was a little jumble, maybe he was already visualizing his head what he was trying to say but it wasn't coming out properly.

“Just that I have concerns and worries.” Ryan returned. “It is a part of who I am.”

"Why are you worried? I have the best captain in the fleet on one of the best ships in the fleet watching my six." Jasmine pointed out to him.

“Do you worry about me?” Ryan replied. He waited to hear her answer.

"I hate when people say that, cuz I told you not to worry about me and you're going to and then I'm worried about you you tell me not to worry about you that just seems like circular logic on both of our points. The point is we're both going to be concerned." Jasmine said in a calm tone but deep down she was super annoyed.

“I get it.” Ryan nodded and then smiled. “You realize this conversation started with you telling me to stop worrying.”

Jasmine shook her head in disapproval. "Still talking in circles, I see." She said, thinking to herself. Not this time. She was going to tell him to stop worrying about her.

“I am not trying to.” Ryan said quietly. “I will work on stopping worrying about you.”

"Thanks." Jasmine said, feeling a little relief. Trying did not actual mean doing. She knew this was going to be a struggle for him. "Any other reason, you stopped by? I hope it was not just for my safety?" Jasmine said in a calm tone. It was her attempt at flirting. But he may not catch it.

“I wanted to see you.” Ryan smiled. “Maybe we can get some coffee?”

"I would like that, just the two of us?" Jasmine asked, hoping it was for personal reasons and work-related reasons.

“Yes.” Ryan nodded. “We haven’t had much time lately.” He wasn’t complaining just being honest.

"I want to make time." Jasmine said, as she reached for his hand for a brief moment. She was really trying. Right now, she needed something real to hold onto, and he was it.

Ryan took her hand and smiled back at her. “I am glad to hear that. He wanted to talk to her about moving their relationship along a bit.

Jasmine appreciated his reciprocation of affection. She gently placed her hands into his. "Are you hungry?" Jasmine asked, thinking that maybe they should get some dinner.

“Yes.” Ryan said as he wrapped his hand around hers. This was nice. “Let’s get some dinner.”

Jasmine was a little torn, does she go and get something to eat like she just suggested to him or do they continue to hold hands. She really like the sensation even though she wouldn't admit it or show an emotional response to it. "Alright." She simply said that she slipped her arm out from his.

Ryan was a little surprised by her action but he knew Jasmine would not want to walk to get dinner holding hands. “I am looking forward to this.”

"me too." She simply said that she looked into Ryan's eyes. She was lost for the moment trying to figure out do they stay here, or do they go and eat her stomach started to growl. The answer is seemed so logical, but love and relationship or anything but logical.

“Let’s eat.” Ryan said with a smile. “And go from there.” He wanted to do many things right now but she wasn’t ready and Ryan didn’t want to scare her.

Jasmine stood up, but she slowly had to let go of his hand, it was to difficult for her to keep a hold of his hand, while she tried to stand up. They drew in closer as they both stood up. She debated about saying something. Instead she allowed her instinctive reaction to kick in. She kissed him, as the scene starts to fade away.

Ryan returned her kiss. He treasured these moments with her.
