Location: Strategic Operations Office / Mess Hall
Timeline: 2431-03-09, 12:00
Zoey was in her office, sappy love music was playing in the background. On the main viewer was a tactical scanning program in progress. The lights were turned up bright in the area that Zoey was located in. The illumination was necessary for the tree that she was grooming. She really loved trimming her bonsai tree. in the back ground was a classic earth song called "Born to be my baby." Zoey was singing along.
Zoey heard the doors to her office swish opened. She had a big grin on her face, as she could smell the cologne of Patton. She made sure to sing a little louder, especially when the chorus started to play. She had her back still turned to him.
Patton smiled to himself. It was a good thing she chose a song he knew the words to and that he had a pretty good voice. He started to sing along with her as his arms slid around her waste.
“You almost done here?” Patton said. Emotion in his voice.
Zoey gave him a big grin. And a small kiss on the cheek. There was just something about Patton that brought out the best in her. "With the tree, sure. Still waiting on my scans." She said being totally honest with him.
“I’m at loose ends for a bit.” Patton confessed. “I missed you and thought I’d stop by and see you.”
"That's all your thinking about?" Zoey said with the teasing grin on her face, she loved the idea of having lunch with him but she needed to focus on her studies. Feels a little behind and the tree was helping her release some of that stress.
“I was actually thinking of lunch.” Patton said with a serious look. “I admit your idea has merit but this is not the time.”
"my idea? Dearie my idea always has merit." Zoey said has she walked over to him, with the seductive look on her face. With the twisted grin she then went on to say. "I suppose I'll settle for lunch instead."
Zoey was laying it on pretty thick today, with the teasing. She was really in a perky and feisty mood, she hoped he appreciated it.
Patton had to work hard from pulling her into his arms and forgetting about lunch. “We should get going.” He winced at the passion in his voice.
Zoey had a big gron in her face, as she thought about how to respond, then it dawned on her. "Down boy, down." Zoey said was the big teasing grin on her face grew more. She loved the fact that she was teasing him right now, and there was a thing he could do about it.
“You like making me crazy.” Patton said with a smile. “One of these days…”
Zoey now felt like he was trying to tease her, she thought to herself. 'Two can play this game'. "Which day?" Seductively whispered Zoey as she walked out the door. She did want Patton to loose it just yet, she was hungry.
“The day you push me over the edge.” Patton growled. “You like to really get me going.”
Zoey decided to play innocent with her next response. They both knew she was not innocent, and her teasing was building up to something more. "No idea what you are talking about." Zoey said, as the scene starts to fade away.
Zoey and Patton walked into the mess hall, she was very suprised as she called out. "This is a first, no line in the mess hall." Zoey said, as they walked in together. It was nice of Patton to have lunch with her.
“I like coming when there aren’t that many people here.” Patton said as he let her go first. “It’s not so loud.”
"I can see that, less likely you can eat and not have to be interrupted by your job." Zoey said in a teasing grin on her face. She wanhted Patton all to herself, she hoped that everyone behaved so they could have lunch together.
Patton laughed softly. “There is that as well.” He loved her sense of humor and how she openly flirted with him.
"I'm serious, I would hate to be a security officer, and seeing someone acting out. There goes your lunch, man that would suck. Because you would have to do your duty at that point." Zoey said, wondering how security officers, even found time to eat.
“It is a part of the job.” Patton agreed with a nod. “And it seems there is always someone pushing buttons whenever I am there.”
"Life of a security chief." Zoey said with a teasing grin, as they walked over to the replicators. "We need a chef." She said in a teasing manner.
“Yes we do.” Patton said with a serious nod. “I suggest you talk to command about that .” He smiled then.
"What are they going to do, pat you on your back for a job well done." Zoey said in a teasing manner.
Patton grinned. “I think the crew would be falling all over the person who got them a chef, wouldn’t you?”
"I already have a man, so they're going to have to find someone else to fall over I suppose." Zoey said continuing her teasing ways.
“They definitely will.” Patton said seriously. “I am your man and I am certain everyone knows it by now.”
"DAMN right you are." Zoey said, with a big grin. She again was teasing him. She knew she would pay later for it, but she was looking forward to it.
“And you are my woman.” Patton grinned at her. “We are a perfect pair.” He was so happy they had found each other.
No words needed to be said, as Zoey just grinned as the scene fades away. She like how that sounded. She started to visualize what tonight was going to look like for the two of them.
Patton smiled to himself. Life was good, he liked serving here, the crew was a good one. The best part was Zoey.
