Summary

Deep Space 12 is the largest Starfleet structure in geosynchronous orbit of the New Holland Colony and was conceived as a military base for starship construction and repair assignments. In the 25th Century it was redesignated as an emergency command and control center for Federation and Starfleet forces in the event that installations on Earth were incapacitated.
