The Dominion, long considered an enemy of the United Federation of Planets, are pursuing a stronger peace between the worlds of the Alpha and Gamma Quadrants. Choosing to host a state dinner on the Dominion world Hymasha, representatives of both the Dominion and the United Federation of Planets have been invited to break bread for a stronger future.

As the Federation flagship, the Starship Enterprise has been chosen to transport Federation President Ievas Olhuel and her team to the peace conference. Shortly after leaving the planet, the Enterprise learns that the President has been abducted by masked assailants from the dinner who have left the planet. Now it's up to the crew of the Enterprise to find the president before it leads to war.
