Mission: Atlantis
Location: Sickbay, Starfleet One
Timeline: 2429-12-03, 22:00

Doctor Ilbis Ilkun stood at the workstation in the surgical section of Sickbay studying the recent scans of Commanders Rigby and Bishara. The Chelon Doctor had recommended that they secure them in the surgical area should the need arise to lock down the area if they experienced further complications from their exposure. Now one was on one side near a surgical biobed and the opposite had the others. He hoped that they could figure this out soon.

"Any acknowledgement from Sawbones yet?" The Surgeon asked.

The Nurse assigned for monitoring shook her head, "No Sir. Sawbones is not answering."

Ilkun scratched his chin with his razor sharp claws, "This is a bit concerning. Sawbones' experience would be invaluable. Fortunately we are the best medical team in the Quadrant. So, what do we do next?"

Not happy with being confined to sickbay, she realized that it was for her own good. Trying to deal with the music in her head was not helping. It would get loud and then soften. T'Lisha wondered if maybe there was some reason why it got loud and then soft. Maybe something was drawing near it and then moving away and then back again. There was no set pattern to the change in sound. But one thing was clear, it hurt and it was driving her mad.

The giant Chelon Doctor looked over at Commander Bishara. He stepped away, approaching the Commander as she lay on the biobed, "How are you feeling?"

"Lousy. The music and tones get louder and then they die down as if someone or something draws closer and then back's off. It damn well hurts and it's driving me mad!" T'Lisha said.

The Chelon Surgeon reached over for a hypospray, "Doctor Porter can put you into a deep sleep, Commander. It would knock you unconscious and the music should stop. That's your decision though. I cannot force your choice."

Gareb scanned the Starfleet medical database but so far was coming up empty.

Ilkun called over to Doctor th'Endilev, "Could you join us please?"

"Commander Bishara and I were talking about inducing a deep sleep for her. I was wondering if you could provide her with more information," the Surgeon requested after the Assistant Chief joined them.

"If you put me out as you suggest, then I would be useless if something was to develope further," T'Lisha said.

"I'm sure that Doctor th'Endilev will have some ideas," he looked to the Assistant Chief.

"I'm coming up with something. Buts it slow going." the Andorian said

"I want to help.....I need to help.....something is very wrong with all of this. I feel it!", T'Lisha said in a pained tone to the Andorian.

"And im more that willing to accept. But now you need rest." Gareb said

Glancing over, Ilbis saw that Doctor Porter was not too far from Counselor Rigby.

The CMO had just arrived back from the meeting on the Bridge. He moved so both of the patients could hear him. "The Senior Staff has a plan to help, but it may take some time," he said looking back and forth from Rigby to Bishara. "In the meantime, I can give you a slightly increased dosage of the temporary neuroblocker if the music gets too harsh for you. If it starts losing the effect, though, Dr. Ilkun is correct. We'd have to put you to sleep, although you'd probably still dream about it."

"Just give me the neural blocker for now," T'Lisha said trying to sort her empathic senses out.

After an hour of work, Doctor Ilkun could feel himself getting ready to fall asleep on his feet. Being on the Alpha Watch he was usually asleep by now, but the current reality that they were facing was far more critical. He was about to start another scan when he heard the alert sirens sound.

"Red Alert! All Crew to Battlestations," the mechanized voice of Starfleet One's computers warned.

"Damn it!" T'Lisha said and got up inspite of her head hurting. "I am needed on the bridge at my station", she called as she headed for the doors of sickbay. Determined to lick this music in her head she summoned all her strength and knowledge and blocked out most of the music and walked out of sick bay headed for the helm.

The Chelon looked at his superiors, "Um?"

"I suspect the Senior Staff's plan is about to be executed. "Make sure the patients are strapped in and secure any loose items in Sickbay."

The Surgeon nodded, "Aye Sir."
