SFI Cover-up: Starfleet traces the origin to Vulcan and classifies all data; the contagion causes civil unrest across Qo'noS and New Romulus.

Cardassian Modernization: Castellan Ajet Gaadi takes power, prioritizing resource acquisition and the rapid expansion of the Cardassian Guard.
Rigel Annexation: The Orion Syndicate secedes from the Klingon Empire, annexing star systems neighboring the Rigel System.

2425 EXECUTIVE COUP

Martial Law: President Pro-Tempore Gaxal suspends the election and declares a Federation-wide emergency following a staged Cardassian attack on Minos Korva.
Admiral Kim's Defiance: Admiral Harry Kim, drawing on his experience with Delta Quadrant subversion, ignores Gaxal's threats of dismissal and covertly begins tracking the President's encrypted communications.

2427 THE COLLECTIVE RETURNS

Borg Vanguard: A Borg task force is detected near the Regula Sector. Captain Seven of Nine and the USS Enterprise-G are dispatched to lead the investigation.
8472 Incursion: Cardassian singularity experiments lure Species 8472 into the Alpha Quadrant. Bio-ships refuse Cardassian overtures and begin total annihilation of border worlds.
Refugee Rejection: The People of the Open Skies are denied entry into UFP space after a Changeling assassin murders their leadership at DS47.

2428 THE ARMADA WAR: PHASE I

The Locutus Clone: A genetic construct of Locutus—reborn from stolen 2422 Vulcan data—leads the Borg invasion. Captain Seven of Nine is granted field command of the defense fleet.
Delta Traversal: The Enterprise-G and the 3rd, 5th, and 16th Fleets enter a Transwarp Hub to strike the Borg staging grounds. The Hub self-destructs, trapping them in the Delta Quadrant.
Klingon Intervention: President Qorjodob invokes the Khitomer Accords. The KDF holds the line against Cardassian and 8472 forces, capturing a bio-ship at Mornaur II.

2429 THE ARMADA WAR: PHASE II

The Rift-Maker Alliance: Trapped in the Delta Quadrant, Captain Seven of Nine negotiates a temporary ceasefire with the Borg to combat a massive 8472 rift-maker in Cardassian space.
Fluidic Strike: An Allied-Borg force enters fluidic space and destroys the rift-maker. The Locutus clone is killed; Seven of Nine executes a tactical retreat before destroying the Delta Transwarp Hub.
Cardassian Ruin: A joint Klingon/Romulan Republic fleet invades Cardassia Prime to destroy singularity archives. The Union is left decimated and militarily broken.

2430 THE BROKEN GALAXY

The Aftermath: 63 billion dead; 65% of Starfleet destroyed. The Enhanced Khitomer Accords are signed by the UFP, Klingons, and Romulan Republic.
The Niljaad Dictatorship: The True Way seizes power on Cardassia. Castellan Ajet Gaadi is executed; Legate Coreth Niljaad restores the Central Command.
Fleet Paralysis: With the Enterprise-G in drydock and the reserve fleet gone, Starfleet has no deep-space capability. President Qorjodob authorizes the Century-class blueprints for a 2431 start.

SFI NOTE: The Gorn Hegemony remains the only power with a fully intact fleet. Our borders are currently undefended.
