Vessels of Major Governments Operating in the Gamma Quadrant

Dominion

DSE-724

DSE-724
Launched in 2387, DSE-724 and its sister ships of the Dominion Strike Escort type were developed in the Gamma Quadrant following the Dominion War. Designed as a midsized Dominion vessel, the Strike Escort was designed to complement the tactics of Jem'Hadar warriors and its capabilities fall between the Jem'Hadar Attack Ship and the Jem’Hadar Dreadnought Carrier‎. While capable of independent operations, the Strike Escort is usually supported by a wing of Jem'Hadar Fighters and it is said that the arrival of even one vessel of this type could turn the battle in favor of the Dominion.

In its long life DSE-724 has been involved in several high-profile assignments on behalf of the Dominion and has been commanded by clones of the Vorta Weyoun for most of its operational life. Currently commanded by Weyoun 13, DSE-724 is currently assigned to oversee monitoring of the Bajoran Wormhole.

DSF-3751

DSF-3751
Completed in 2430, DSF-3751 is a Jem'Hadar Fighter that was formerly assigned to DSE-724 before being ordered transferred to the U.S.S. Enterprise by Odo. It is under the command of Administrator Kuzos and First Ikidik'tan.

Lightweight, DSF-3751 has undergone significant refit to reach the apex of its capabilities but has a limited range unless supported by a larger mother ship. Designed to serve effectively as a short-range attack craft and roughly the size of a Starfleet runabout, DSF-3751 has been fitted with dual forward Polaron pulse cannons and a microtorpedo launcher outfitted with Dominion Photon Torpedoes. Although their shields and hull have low defensive ratings compared to other Dominion starships, DSF-3751 can inflict significant damage quickly and serves well in boarding operations.

DSF-3751 has aided DSE-724 in multiple combat actions during its short life, including surviving an engagement with a Dosi vessel that had been involved in piracy actions against the Karemma. Because of its capabilities, Odo assigned it to serve as a diplomatic vessel to Federation exploration of the Gamma Quadrant.

DST-321

DST-321
DST-321 is a Dominion Jem'Hadar Strike Transport that has been built for covert operations and fleet support assignments outside of Dominion territory. Based upon the Jem'Hadar Attack Ship, the Strike Transport possesses incredible maneuverability and tactical capability.

Launched under the command of Administrator Kuzos and First Ikidik'tan, DST-321 has been commissioned as a testbed starship and incorporates enhanced technologies over its counterparts. DST-321's greatest innovation is a specialized stealth technology that, while not a cloaking device per se, minimizes the vessel's sensor signature. This technology, coupled with DST-321's Heavy Polaron Beam Cannons and speed, make the vessel ideal for hit and run attacks against targets and boarding operations.

While DST-321 is early in its operational life, the ship and crew have already proven themselves in raids. DST-321 led an assault upon a renegade Dosi outpost and used its troops to recover the station for the Dominion. In its latest mission, DST-321 was instrumental in rescuing the Founder Odo and establishing a stronger peace between the Dominion and the Federation. Command has since transferred to Administrator Tinis and First Muzi'yazak

Revenant

Revenant
The Revenant is a decommissioned Jem'Hadar Scoutship that was recovered and repurposed by Odo for usage during his research into the origin of the Founders and, by extension, the Dominion.

Sharing the same body design and structure as a Jem'Hadar Fighter, Dominion Scoutships are lightweight and easily replaceable vehicles originally considered by the Dominion as only a small step above replaceable drones. Through the influence of Odo, both Jem'Hadar fighters and scouts were refit to the highest standard, representing the best of their capabilities. Slightly larger than a Starfleet Polaris Class Runabout, Dominion Scoutships are effective short-range reconnaissance vessels but are often closely supported by larger motherships.

The Revenant was decommissioned by the Dominion in 2438 after three decades of dedicated service after taking severe damage in an assault by an unidentified enemy source. Soon after the vessel was secretly repaired under the direct orders of Odo himself and transferred to his personal command. The Revenant was once again severely damaged during Odo's investigation and destroyed by the Forebearer, the originator of the Founder species.

United Federation of Planets - Starfleet

U.S.S. Defiant NCC-74205-C

U.S.S. Defiant
Assigned to Starbase 419 as its mission support vessel, the U.S.S. Defiant NCC-74205-C is a Valiant Class starship commanded by Commodore Loatha Targaryen.

The third Starfleet vessel named in honor of the Defiant Class U.S.S. Defiant, the Defiant-C served as a proof-of-concept vessel that Bajor was capable of producing frontline vessels for the Federation. With the destruction of Deep Space 9 in 2433, construction of the new Defiant was considered a priority by Starfleet to ensure the safety of the Bajoran Wormhole and was launched without many of the advanced features of its sister ships. Defiant would make a name for itself as a law enforcement vessel, becoming the bane of the Orion Syndicate due to its anti-piracy initiatives. With the completion of Starbase 419 in 2435, Defiant was assigned as the permanent support craft for the station.

Following the successful repelling of the Vaadwaur Supremacy, Defiant returned to drydock to be outfitted with specialized systems that had been deferred. Relaunched in 2436, Defiant has remained attached to Starbase 419 ever since.

U.S.S. Enterprise NX-1701-H

U.S.S. Enterprise
Under the command of Captain Wilkan Targaryen, the U.S.S. Enterprise is the first Constitution IV Class starship built by the United Federation of Planets and serves as the flagship of Project Longshot.

The eighth Federation starship to bear the name Enterprise, development of the Constitution IV Class was primarily a result of Starfleet forces being outmatched and outmaneuvered by technologically sophisticated opponents in the late 24th and early 25th Centuries. Enterprise was constructed at San Francisco Fleet Yards in honor of the U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701 and launched in 2439.

Following its launch, Enterprise was assigned to a five-year mission of exploration. During its first assignment, Enterprise was ordered to Starbase 419 following contact between Starfleet's Forward Observation Zone and the Dominion. Enterprise was ordered to the Gamma Quadrant to investigate and located a damaged Dominion vessel. Due to the Enterprise's assistance a brokered peace treaty between the Federation and the Dominion authorized Enterprise to remain in the Gamma Quadrant on a five-year mission of exploration.

U.S.S. Galileo Galilei NCC-101564

U.S.S. Galileo
Sistership to the U.S.S. Nicolaus Copernicus, the U.S.S. Galileo Galilei (also known as the Galileo) is a Libertas Class Starship that is currently assigned to the U.S.S. Enterprise as a garrison vessel. Normally docked within the Enterprise's Saucer Module, the Galileo can be quickly configured to meet multiple mission profiles including emergency response, patrol, or survey missions separate from the Enterprise's mission profile. While the Galileo has its own dedicated personnel, the command staff of the vessel are selected from the Enterprise's Senior Staff during missions.

Built at the Baikonur Orbital Complex, Earth, Galileo was originally assigned to a survey mission within the Briar Patch. One year into its mission, Galileo encountered a hidden Son'a outpost deep within the Briar Patch and was able to hide from Son'a vessels for over two months before escaping and contacting reinforcements. Awarded for its efforts in protecting the Ba'Ku, Galileo was transferred from the Briar Patch to serve as a mission support craft for the Enterprise during its five-year exploratory mission.

U.S.S. Leonard McCoy NCC-90230

U.S.S. Leonard McCoy
Intended for crisis and emergency response missions, the U.S.S. Leonard McCoy was named after Doctor Leonard McCoy, former Director of Starfleet Medical. Commanded by Captain Itaak, the McCoy was designed with advanced laboratory and medical facilities but still incorporates the expansive Cargo and Shuttlebays of its counterparts.

Launched, unfinished, from San Francisco Fleet Yards, Earth, during the 250th Frontier Day, the McCoy was damaged by the U.S.S. Titan-A. Later recovered, the McCoy was repaired and formally commissioned in 2403. After completing three five-year missions, the McCoy was sent to Antares Shipyards, Antares, for refit to its communications, sensors, and weapons systems to allow it to serve as a command ship.

Relaunched, the McCoy was the flagship of Starfleet Medical until it was transferred to Second Contact responsibilities in the early 2430s. In 2439, the McCoy was transferred to Project Longshot to participate in exploration of the Gamma Quadrant focusing on medical and scientific missions.

U.S.S. Nicolaus Copernicus NCC-101473

U.S.S. Copernicus
Sistership to the U.S.S. Galileo Galilei, the U.S.S. Nicolaus Copernicus (Also known as the Copernicus) is a Libertas Class Starship currently assigned to Gamma Quadrant Former Observation Zone as a garrison vessel. Despite its rugged design, the Copernicus is not intended for long-term missions and her average assignment duration is six months or less.

Originally intended as a patrol ship for the Cardassian Demilitarized Zone, the Copernicus was configured with enhanced sensors suites and laboratories to enable it to conduct research missions within the Cardassian Sector. During an assignment to update navigational records of the Badlands, Copernicus located a renegade Alpha Jem'Hadar outpost within the region. Aiding a Starfleet Task Group in dismantling the Jem'Hadar operation, the Copernicus was able to conclude its mission without further incident.

Following the conclusion of its survey mission, Copernicus was selected by Starfleet Command to replace the starship U.S.S. Bougainville as the mission support vessel for the Gamma Quadrant Forward Observation Zone.

U.S.S. Nyota Uhura NCC-90214

U.S.S. Nyota Uhura
Commissioned in 2398, the U.S.S. Nyota Uhura is a first-generation Reliant Class starship assigned to Project Longshot. Under the command of Captain Ayo, the vessel is named in honor of Nyota Uhura, former Director of Starfleet Intelligence and Communications Officer of the U.S.S. Enterprise.

When launched from Antares Shipyards, Antares, Uhura was assigned to deep space scientific and survey operations. The Uhura was part of the Starfleet armada assembled to confront the massive Borg vessel Singularity was later captured by the Borg Collective during the 250th Frontier Day celebration. Heavily damaged, the Uhura was repaired at San Francisco Fleet Yards, Earth.

Due to its large Cargo and Shuttlebays, the Uhura was transferred to Starfleet Logistical Support to assist new Federation members and colonies. Later, Uhura was transitioned to Second Contact responsibilities. Recently refitted, Uhura has been assigned to Project Longshot in a continued Second Contact role, focusing on technical missions.

U.S.S. Resolute NCC-102317

U.S.S. Resolute
Under the command of Captain Gatix Heraslo and primarily crewed by Bolians, the U.S.S. Resolute NCC-102317 is an Intrepid II Class starship that was launched in 2439 from Consolidated Fleet Yards, Tellar Prime.

Host to cutting-edge scientific equipment, the Resolute and its Intrepid II Class sisters are long-range science vessels designed to be small, fast, and versatile. Resolute has been equipped with advanced research facilities aboard the craft, incorporating additional laboratories and specialized long-term research facilities that allow the ship's crew to investigate anomalies and other phenomenon over a longer period of time than its counterparts.

When launched, Resolute was initially assigned to exploratory assignments in the Deep Alpha Quadrant, beyond the territorial claims of the First Federation, to chart this distant region. During its first assignment, Resolute was tracking a proto-Tellarite civilization when Starfleet Command ordered it to return to Federation territory for assignment to Project Longshot.

U.S.S. Thelin th'Valrass NCC-90250

U.S.S. Thelin th'Valrass
Constructed at Antares Shipyards, Antares, the U.S.S. Thelin th'Valrass NCC-90250 was the final member of the first batch Reliant Class vessels ordered by Starfleet Command. The vessel was named in honor of Thelin th'Valrass, a decorated Andorian Starfleet officer who lived during the 23rd century.

Completed shortly after the 250th Frontier Day, the Thelin th'Valrass was initially assigned to perimeter defense missions in the Sol Sector due to heavy losses in combat against the Borg Collective. Serving in this assignment for five years, the th'Valrass would later be assigned to scientific and survey operations in the Shackleton Expanse. Completing three five-year missions in the region, the th'Valrass would later be reassigned to Second Contact missions in the Beta Quadrant.

After undergoing refit and resupply at the Bajoran Okana Shipyards, the th'Valrass was assigned to mission support assignments for Starbase 419. After receiving an invitation from the Dominion for the Federation to resume operations in the Gamma Quadrant, the th'Valrass was reassigned to the region as the personal flagship of Rear Admiral Veegg.

U.S.S. Vigilance NCC-102316

U.S.S. Vigilance
Built at 40 Eridani A Starfleet Construction Yards, Vulcan, the U.S.S. Vigilance NCC-102316 is an Intrepid II Class vessel that was commissioned in 2439. Vigilance is under the command of Starfleet Captain C'Noren, a Caitian.

Designed for long-term missions away from support, the Vigilance has been constructed with durability in mind and provides its crew with easy access to critical systems. Freshly launched, the Vigilance's official mission profile is geared toward long-term scientific missions and incorporates advanced stellar cartography and astrometric facilities to assist in regional charting. Unofficially, Vigilance has been equipped for espionage duties as its sensors are capable of sophisticated analysis and it incorporates sensitive electronic monitoring systems among its standard complement.

Presently, Vigilance has been assigned a patrol route close to territories in which the Dominion has denied Starfleet access, making its mission more dangerous than that of its counterparts.
