Sistership to the U.S.S. Galileo, the U.S.S. Copernicus is a Libertas Class Starship currently assigned to Deep Space 12 as a survey vessel. Originally intended as a patrol ship for the Cardassian Demilitarized Zone, the Copernicus has been configured with enhanced sensors suites and laboratories to enable it to conduct research missions within the Maelstrom Sector. Despite its rugged design, the Copernicus is not intended for long-term missions and her average assignment duration is six months or less. Despite this, she has already proven her worth in the colonization of New Talos. |
U.S.S. Enterprise |

Under the command of Admiral Willian Targaryen for over two decades, the U.S.S. Enterprise is the Eclipse Class flagship of the United Federation of Planets. Designed in part at Deep Space 12, the Enterprise was constructed in the Sol Sector and designated as a long-range exploration vessel upon its commissioning, including a prototype Coaxial Warp Drive. Due to the historic Enterprise lineage, the vessel was fitted with many state-of-the art technologies as it was assigned to an extended exploratory mission in the Beta Quadrant, beyond former Romulan territory. Enterprise frequently found itself embroiled in diplomatic and strategic assignments between the Federation and other galactic powers and was instrumental in negotiating the Treaty of Casperia Prime, which led to a stronger relationship between the Federation and its neighbors. Due to its successes, Enterprise was assigned to Deep Space 12 and has been refitted to operate as a mobile headquarters for the Federation. and features dedicated personnel and equipment to help the vessel ensure continuity of the Federation government and management of Starfleet in the event of a galactic disaster. |
U.S.S. Galileo |

Sistership to the U.S.S. Copernicus, the U.S.S. Galileo is a Libertas Class Starship currently assigned to the U.S.S. Enterprise as a garrison vessel. Normally docked to a secure port on the underside of the Enterprise's Saucer Module, the Galileo can be quickly configured to meet multiple mission profiles including emergency response, patrol, or survey missions not scheduled to last longer than six months. The Galileo has been involved in several high-profile assignments while attached to the Enterprise and was instrumental in the Battle of the Foundry. |
U.S.S. Geronimo |

The Akira Class U.S.S. Geronimo is one of the longest serving vessels in the Maelstrom and has been assigned to Deep Space 12 since 2378. A second-generation Akira Class starship, the Geronimo sacrificed much of its shuttlecraft support structure for enhanced scientific equipment to enhance the vessel's abilities as an exploration vessel. Despite these modifications, the Geronimo is a capable opponent in combat and was an instrumental part in early stabilization efforts of the Maelstrom against the True Way led by Legate Matan. When the Federation scaled back its efforts in the Maelstrom the Geronimo remained assigned to the region in a limited role but was instrumental in the Federation's return to the region. With the Federation and Starfleet's increased presence in the Maelstrom, Starfleet decommissioned and converted the Geronimo into a museum ship that is currently docked at Deep Space 12. |
U.S.S. Uhura |

Launched in 2397, the U.S.S. Uhura is a first-generation Reliant Class starship. Due to its dedicated cargo space, expansive shuttlebays, and heavy automation the Uhura was initially assigned to Starfleet's Department of Logistics to transport equipment and personnel where needed. While primarily a support vessel, the Uhura found itself part of the Starfleet armada that confronted the Borg forces led by Agnes Jurati and later was compromised during the Frontier Day Massacre. Recovered, Uhura was transferred to the Maelstrom in the early 25th Century as a crisis and emergency response vessel during the growing conflict with the Klingon Empire. It has remained assigned to Deep Space 12 ever since. |
U.S.S. Valhalla |

Recently refit to Galaxy II Class Specifications, the U.S.S. Valhalla was ordered to replace the its predecessor lost during the Second Battle of Chin'toka during the Dominion War. Unlike most Galaxy Class vessels, the Valhalla was designed to fulfill a Tactical Operations role; however, this mandate was changed following the conclusion of the war and the Valhalla was reassigned to Strategic and Diplomatic duties, serving as a mobile embassy during high profile contact missions both inside and outside of Federation Territory. After several decades serving in these responsibilities, the Valhalla was transferred to the Vulcan Science Academy where it was assigned to assist with the ongoing research initiatives of the Academy. Due to the successes of the Valhalla during her career, and her relative condition, the Valhalla was selected for refit to Galaxy-II Class Specifications. Upon completion of her refit, the Valhalla was assigned to exploratory assignments on behalf of the Federation. |
