| Description | The Federation Council Chamber is a large, rectangular conference center used by Representatives of the Federation Council for meetings. The center of the floor was the speaker's floor, from where the council was generally addressed. To two sides, along the east and west walls, were rows of seats for the Federation Councillors. As of 2430 there are 192 seats to accommodate the Councillors. In front of the south was a podium, where the leader of the session (the president, when in attendance) stood. Behind the podium is a large viewscreen, used for remote communications as well as displaying vote tallies. In the late 24th Century the Chamber was equipped with holographic projection technology. Opposite the podium on the south end of the chamber was the gallery, where members of the public and the press could watch council proceedings when in open session. |
