New Mission: Hope

The United Federation of Planets is in peril! Six months have passed since the Interstellar Coalition brutalized the neutral world of Talos IV and made first contact with the Federation. Six months have passed since the Federation force sent to investigate and save the Talosians was devastated in the Battle of Talos IV. Six months have passed since the galaxy changed.

Starfleet Command, in association with the Federation Council and the Office of the Federation President, have converted Deep Space 12 in the Maelstrom to serve as a hidden, backup home to the Federation should Earth come under fire. Leading the charge is Starfleet Battle Group Omega, reclassified to serve as a Rapid Response Force to handle any disaster that befalls the galaxy.

Will they serve as a new hope for the galaxy or is the Federation doomed to fall at the hands of the Coalition?
