Personal History

2390: Enoral Trask born in Gheryzan to Linor Trask, an Engineer at Starfleet’s Advanced Starship Design Bureau, and Alora Dyn, Trillus Prime’s minister of foreign trade.

2395: Enoral begins primary education, finding interests in history and alien culture. Alora is selected to receive the Xen Symbiont, one of the oldest members of the species still actively joining hosts. Enoral is initially devastated by this, seeing the joining as loosing his mother’s character, despite a near-reverence by his culture of the joining process.

2396: Alora Xen reaches her son again through Xen’s extensive knowledge of alien culture. The Xen Symbiont had previously been hosted by the Trill Federation ambassador to Qo’nos. Thus began a lifelong mentorship of Enoral by Xen.

2405: At the age of fifteen, Enoral is the youngest person ever accepted into the Apprentice Legislature program at Arbazan V. The program is something of a torture test for young politicians in the making, with the Arbazan’s signature appetite for red tape, paperwork and procedure stifling the ambitions of all but the most determined.

2409: Enoral completes the four year program, and is noted as one of the Federation’s “100 brightest stars” by the Diplomat-Digest.

2409: Enoral enrolls in the Starfleet Academy on Betazed, choosing the location for its diplomatic department.

2413: Enoral graduates from Starfleet Academy at the rank of Ensign and is assigned to the USS Patroclus, an Olympic class diplomatic vessel. The Patroclus is charged with ongoing relations between Starfleet and the other powers of the Alpha and Beta quadrants. Trade routes, border disputes, treaty negotiations, and more.

2416: The Patroclus crew make history by finalizing the negotiations and welcoming the people of Angel One into the Federation’s fold. Enoral is promoted to Lieutenant JG

2420: Enoral is promoted to Lieutenant.

2421: Alora Xen is diagnosed with Radismont’s disease, a neural disorder analogous to Alzheimer’s in Humans. Doctors inform the family that she has 18 months to live. Enoral takes an extended leave of absence to accompany his mother and mentor during her final days. During this time, the mentorship resumes afresh, with Xen imparting as much wisdom as it can before the Symbiosis Commission demands that the Xen symbiont be released from Alora the host.

2422: Xen is removed from Alora, who dies within an hour. Enoral and Linor bury her at sea in accordance with her family’s traditions. Enoral resigns from Starfleet.

2423: Enoral runs for Trill Senate, representing Gheryzan. He wins in a landslide election. He is noted for his strong defense of the Federation, sharp legal mind, and determination.

2426: Second term reelection. His championship of Gheryzan has seen the province rapidly modernized and improved in the three years he has been on the Senate.

2429: Rather than running for re-election in the Senate, Enoral surprises many by campaigning for a Trill seat on the Federation Council. A drawn out contest results in a narrow victory, ousting the incumbent Councilor.

The Symbiosis Commission contacts Enoral to let him know he has been approved to receive a Symbiont. This move received much media scrutiny, with the majority of people feeling the Commission wouldn’t have allowed Enoral to be joined had he not won the election.

For Enoral himself, he hoped the joining would give him access to experience which would make him more successful in the Council.

2429: Enoral is joined with a Symbiont. Due to the secrecy of the selection process, he knows nothing of the Gaen symbiont before the joining. Once the process is complete, he feels something must be wrong. He can feel another consciousness, but no memories. It is explained to him that the Gaen Symbiont has never been joined before, and is an adolescent.

Enoral is extremely displeased by this, viewing the action as unhelpful and one-sided. However, to reject a symbiont would be a death-sentence for both entities, so he attempts to push these feelings aside

The person now known as Enoral Gaen is Trill’s representative to the Federation Council. Starfleet assigns him the USS Savoy, an Arrow-class runabout with two crew, who also act as security. Additionally, Enoral enlists half a dozen staffers, with plans to hire more once he reaches the Council.
