History
| Personal History | (2305 - 2323) Kiera was born in 2305, the first child of her mother Geimed. Her father Jaren was El-Aurian so her genetics were a three way split intertwining Vulcan and Lanthanite with it. Growing up she was an only child until the age of 10 when her brother Alain was born. Kiera had always been a child who enjoyed the company of others, though she sought more solitude when her El-Aurian “listening” skills developed. Finding it hard at first she soon adapted. Journeying with her parents and brother out amongst the stars, Kiera enjoyed trips aboard starships and time spent on Starbases, her sense of ‘feeling’ a ship and it’s crew was tempered by the logic of her Vulcan side, though it also gave her a feisty temper to go with it. With her love of being out amongst the stars Kiera eventually decided to apply for Starfleet Academy, she was thrilled to be accepted and started life at Starfleet Academy in earnest. (2323 - 2328) Life at Starfleet Academy proved everything Kiera was hoping for, choosing to follow a path in medical she studied hard alongside the rest of her studies. She developed a natural affinity for Archaeology and Anthropology, she also showed talent in Operations Management. She was complimented by her tutors a lot for her dedication and hard work. She eventually graduated with honours in all of her studies. Upon graduating the Academy Kiera turned her sights to enlisting as a medical specialist after seeing a Corps recruitment advertisement. Boot camp was an eye opener, the physical and mental conditioning was hard on everyone, yet Kiera found herself supporting those who needed it. Her Vulcan half didn’t help when she lost her temper at an instructor and found herself in trouble. Fortunately she learned her lesson first time. Her Vulcan genetics eventually helped her to prove she had the stamina to survive boot camp and move on to combat training. Combat training proved a gruelling experience for everyone, but with her career goal in mind Kiera pushed on through proving herself to be worthy of her role in the Corps. (2328 onwards) Kiera was assigned to the USS Wildcat for her first assignment as combat medic. The ship was assigned to every conflict that it was in range of, during her ten years onboard Kiera was given a baptism of fire facing saving lives in the heat of battle. It was during her last assignment for the Wildcat that she was almost killed in the line of duty, fortunately her El-Aurian genes made healing all the faster. Even though she spent two years on sabbatical before returning to the field. She has spent the last one hundred years doing what she does best, helping those in need in the field as well as serving in medical aboard ships and starbases. |
