Her dark eyes, which go almost black when she is emotional, are characteristic of her mother's race, but her long, naturally wavy blonde hair and fair skin are from her father. 5'7" tall, slim and slightly built, Cali keeps physically fit and healthy. |

| Personality Overview | GENERAL OVERVIEW: Cali has a strong sense of right and wrong but her religious beliefs are spread between that which she was given as a child, which was strict, and that which she came to develop as life and cynicism eroded away at the cornerstones. An unusual physical mix of dark eyes and blonde hair, Cali has an equally unusual mix of personality too. With the bright, strong, sunny, optimistic nature that she was born with, wanting to see the good and positive in everything, at odds with her more recently acquired wounded side that sees criticism and judgement in the eyes of those around her, and which bears her own parents' rejection of her with pained self-depreciation on occasions, but defiant rebellion on others. Half-betazoid, she is empathic and was trained in childhood to master the basics of mind-walls to manage this ability. Cali's trademark smile is shy and pretty and her eyes are warm and honest, as is her heart. Her hair and her personal life on the other hand are both wild and unruly and have both yet to be tamed, if they will ever be? STRENGTHS & WEAKNESSES: One of her strengths is her unsinkable sense of humour, which can often land her in trouble, but which she has always used for self-defence and a shield for her own emotions. Cali is a naturally gifted surgeon and her empathy is well used to support and enhance her diagnostic skills. The one thing she has always been able to fall back on has been her professional success, which has given her the opportunity to rise through the ranks of Starfleet and keep her life, and her faith in herself, as stable as possible. She multitasks with the best and is at her best when life and work are throwing her challenges. She wilts within too strict a routine or under too tight restrictions. Her main weaknesses are her damaged personal self-esteem and her ability to make a mess of that side of her life, but after years of separation she's now made her peace with her Ex and is regaining her equilibrium. Cali still feels the need to prove herself to those she admires or loves, sometimes too much so, for her own good. She does however see the overview quite quickly and has developed the ability to re-balance herself when she's thrown a curved ball. AMBITIONS: Cali's ambitions in life used to be only professional. She knew she was a good doctor, and has been appropriately rewarded and acclaimed for her achievements in this field. She loves what she does and will always want to keep getting better at it. Both her father’s and paternal grandfather's obsessions with higher rank is lost on Cali, she achieved promotion by her successes but has not gone out of her way to seek recognition along the way. When it came to her anyway, it seemed to surprise her. HOBBIES & INTERESTS: Cali keeps fit by playing a variety of sports and spending time in the gym but she isn't obsessive about exercise and won't play competitively on anything more than a friendly level. She loves trees and will spend as much time as she can in or around an Arboretum or garden. History
| Personal History | HISTORY: Cali is the fourth child and only daughter from a marriage between the second son of a middle class Terran family and a female Betazoid Ambassador, whose own family were a well-to-do house on Betazed, so she had lead a sheltered and somewhat privileged life up until she was in her early twenties when she disgraced her family and was cast out to fend for herself shortly after graduating from the Starfleet Academy. Almost none of her friends know much about what happened to Cali after she left the Academy, but she was supported by two of her older brothers, one of whom took in her illegitimate child and adopted her, partly because he and his own wife could not have children of their own and partly to rescue Cali and her child from whatever fate might have thrown at them out in the universe alone. In gratitude, and under a promise that was asked of her, Cali has never divulged the real origin of her "niece" who was re-christened and is accepted by her family as an orphaned Human-Betazoid-Trill that her brother Ed, and sister-in-law Scarlett, are alleged to have adopted through the Federation Agency. For his part, Ed kept Cali through Federation Medical School and training so she could become a doctor as planned and as soon as she qualified, she left Earth only returning to visit secretly. One of her other brothers, Matt, knows the truth, but his wife does not, and the rest of the family think Ed a saint for his support of his ‘outcast’ reprobate of a sister. Since then, Cali has buried herself in her work with the exception of a few disastrous personal relationships, none of which she had really given her heart to. Finally having made her peace with the initial love of her life, Joined Trill - Lt Cmdr. Errin Rix, Cali's stability and self-worth have been restored and she's at last able to bury the sadness of her past and look forwards to the future. |
